Aftercare

Healing is individual, but the order is the same for everyone. You receive written aftercare instructions after the procedure; if anything worries you, write to me on WhatsApp.

Days 1–3

The colour is bright and darker than it will be later; the area may be slightly swollen and feel tight.

  • Do not touch, pick, or peel off the crusts or the thin film: they will come off on their own.
  • Gently blot the area with a clean tissue and apply a thin layer of the product I recommend.
  • Do not wet the area under a strong stream of water; avoid steam baths, saunas, swimming pools, and the sea.
  • Do not apply makeup to the area and avoid sunbathing.

Days 4–7

Flaking begins, and the skin may itch.

  • Do not scratch or peel flaking areas.
  • Continue applying a thin layer of the product as long as the skin feels tight.
  • The colour may look pale or uneven: this is an intermediate stage.

Days 8–14

The skin renews itself, and the colour gradually evens out.

  • You can return to your usual skincare routine, but without peels, acids, or retinol on the treated area.
  • When going out into the sun, use an SPF cream.

Up to 30 days

The final shade settles in about a month.

  • Until the skin is fully healed, avoid strong peels and harsh products on this area.
  • After 6–8 weeks, we check the healed result and, if needed, perform a touch-up.
  • If severe redness, worsening pain, discharge, or fever occurs, message me and consult a doctor.

Sun and SPF

SPF 50 every day, even when it is cloudy outside: the sun accelerates pigment fading and can change the shade. This simple step helps preserve the result and reduces how often you need a refresh.

Lips

  • Until the crusts fall off, avoid spicy, hot and salty food; a straw helps in the first days.
  • Do not lick or bite your lips and do not kiss until the area has healed.
  • If you get cold sores, tell me beforehand: we will discuss how to prepare, and you may want to ask your doctor.
  • Use lipstick and gloss only after the crusts have fallen off.

Brows

  • In the first days do not wet your brows or rub them with a towel.
  • Avoid the sauna and intense workouts for the first days.
  • Do not use brow pencils, gels or tints until the skin has renewed.
  • After healing the colour is lighter and softer than in the first days; that is expected, so judge the result after the touch-up.

Lash line

  • In the first hours the eyes may water and be sensitive to light, and the eyelids may swell slightly.
  • Do not rub your eyes; no mascara or lash curler until the area has healed.
  • We will agree after the procedure when you can go back to contact lenses and eye make-up.
  • If an eye turns very red, hurts or your vision gets worse, see a doctor right away.

After removal with a remover

  • A crust forms: do not take it off, it falls off on its own.
  • The result appears gradually; sometimes it takes several sessions, and we will agree on the interval.
  • Protect the area from sun and water as after a regular procedure and apply the recommended product.
  • If you notice strong redness, growing pain or discharge, write to me and see a doctor.
